KIJHL Power Rankings – Week 16

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 16th week of regular season action for the 2024-25 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlight the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide positioning.

 

Make it six straight weeks at No.1 for the Revelstoke Grizzlies. The Grizzlies ended 2024 with a 4-1 win over the Kamloops Storm, and have kicked off 2025 with two wins (4-2 over Quesnel and 4-3 over Osoyoos) and a shootout loss, 5-4 to Kelowna.

 

 

The Kimberley Dynamiters come in at No. 2. They swept the Fernie Ghostriders in their Christmas Classic 4-1, and 6-2. The Dynamiters opened 2025 with a shootout 4-3 shootout win over Quesnel, lost to Columbia Valley 5-2 and defeated Golden 7-2.

 

 

 

The Grand Forks Border Bruins keep the No. 3 spot. The Border Bruins split their opening two games in 2025 losing 7-6 to Sicamous and defeating Nelson 6-1.

 

 

 

The Columbia Valley Rockies jump a spot to No. 4. They ended 2024 with a 5-4 overtime loss to the Creston Valley Thunder Cats, then started 2025 with a pair of wins – 7-6 over Williams Lake and 5-2 over Kimberley.

 

 

 

The Sicamous Eagles drop to No. 5. They opened 2025 with three straight wins, defeating Grand Forks 7-6, Spokane 4-2 and Beaver Valley 6-2. They are on a five-game winning streak.
