Grand Forks Border Bruins’ Logan McCabe is going home to play for the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference next fall.
McCabe, 21, finished third on the Border Bruins with 53 points in 42 games. The 6-2, 180-pound blueliner then added nine points in 11 playoff games.
McCabe completed his three-year Border Bruins career with 108 points in 123 career regular season games. He is now the top producing defenceman in franchise history. In 39 career playoff games, McCabe had 29 points. Last season McCabe contributed to the most successful season in Border Bruins history as they finished first overall, then won the KIJHL championship and the BC Provincial championship – the Mowat Cup.
McCabe is the fourth KIJHL player that the Thunder have recruited.
