Grand Forks Border Bruins’ Alex and Ben Edwards have committed to play for the Drury University Panthers in the American Collegiate Hockey Association next fall.
Last season the twin brothers helped their hometown Border Bruins win its first league and provincial championship.

Ben, a defenceman, played in 27 games this season and registered four goals and 17 points. He collected three assists in nine KIJHL Championship playoff games. In 167 career regular season games with the Kelowna Chiefs and Border Bruins, he had 26 goals and 89 points. He began his KIJHL career with the Chiefs in 2021-22 where he played 34 games and had 15 points. He also played in five playoff games for the Chiefs. In 2023-24, Ben played seven games for the WHL’s Victoria Royals.
Alex, a forward, played 12 games and registered six points and added three points in eight playoff games. Alex played in 73 career regular season games (30 with the Kelowna Chiefs) and had 42 points. In 30 playoff games, he had 15 points. Alex had 10 points in 17 games for the Border Bruins during their championship run. Alex also played in 89 WHL regular season games with the Royals over parts of three seasons and had 13 points.
The Edwards brothers join Revelstoke Grizzlies’ Jett Patola and Jake Neufeld, who have also committed to the Panthers for next season.
