Ethan Shebansky of the Grand Forks Border Bruins has signed to play for the Portage College Voyageurs in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference next season.
Shebansky went 16-8-0 in 27 games for the Border Bruins and helped them advance to the second round of the KIJHL Teck Cup playoffs. This past season, the Edmonton product felt he was more consistent, while improving his management skills as well as pre-game mental health preparation. He also provided leadership.
“My past three seasons with the Border Bruins has made me mature as an athlete and gave me the tools to grow on and off the ice by being part of a rebuild and experiencing the growth and development of the team,” says Shebansky. “I’m honoured and extremely excited to have committed with the Portage Voyageurs and look forward to building new relationships and furthering my education while playing the sport I love.”
